We recently hosted three Advisory Group meetings to discuss proposed changes to the Draft Downtown Community Plan. You can access the meeting notes from these three November meetings here (pdf – begins with Nov 6 meeting; scroll for others). Please review and contact me with any corrections. Notes do not reflect comments submitted to us since these meetings, however, all comments will be considered.
Several community members have sent us additional comments and proposed changes. We appreciate your attention to the Draft Plan and will review all comments as we prepare a list of recommended changes for the Planning Commission. We hope that these changes will satisfy any conflicts and make the plan even better. We will post the recommended changes and the revised plan to our website very soon for your review. It is a long list of changes, but we hope you will be pleased with the results.
The graphic below illustrates our planning process to date on this project. It shows that we are currently following an alternative path towards adoption of the plan in response to your concerns raised following the August Planning Commission hearing. We are working to establish a clear process that will involve you over the next few months. We will promptly communicate this to you, including fair warning of any meetings. We will not be briefing the Planning Commission at their December 10th meeting, as we assumed earlier this month.
We appreciate your ongoing commitment to the Downtown Plan. Please contact us with any questions.
